The National GranAfriCan Gathering

June 24th and 25th, 2010
George Brown College.

On June 24th and 25th Sesheme Foundation Family Members volunteered their time in support of the National GranAfriCan Gathering held at George Brown College in Toronto.

The 2010 GranAfriCan Gathering was an advocacy-focussed event co-hosted by the Stephen Lewis Foundation's Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign National Advocacy Committee and Ontario Regional Resource Group. More than 300 Canadian and visiting South African Grandmothers participated in the 2-day event. The event featured workshops on fundraising, dealing with group burnout, speaking to the public and to the media, and advocacy.
